Favorite Assignment

I like this photo because of the contrast between colors and the silhouette of the mountains. It demonstrates the rule of thirds because one third of the photo is filled with the landscape, while the other two thirds consist of the vibrant sunset. I edited the photo by saturating the colors so they would stand out. I think that this adds to the photo because then the difference between the black and the reds is even more prominent than before.

I like this photo because of the distinction between the clarity of the leaf and the background. This allows the red leaf to stand out and the background to "dissolve." It displays foreground/background by having the leaf in focus and the wall with branches out of focus. I edited the photo by saturating the color of the leaf, making the red stand out amongst the grey. You are also able to more clearly see the green and purple which makes up a considerable amount of the leaf.
